Hey, it's Hazem

Recently, I was working with a client who had an idea: creating a set of playing cards for his resort. As we discussed the concept, it appears he wanted a complete design overhaul, and I happily agreed to help out.

Although this isn't typically my line of work, I agreed and took it for free since he's a good friend. But, as he shared more details, it became clear that he wanted the artwork on the cards redesigned, which is outside my skill set.

We had a few options:

a. I could spend 18 hours trying to create new artwork, and maybe it will be 'OK'.

b. We could hire a professional who specializes in this type of thing.

c. We could ditch the idea altogether.

Ultimately, we chose b: hiring an expert. It was the smartest decision because neither of us had the artistic skills.

The lesson here is straightforward:

  • If you need to tackle something outside your expertise (marketing, graphic design, engineering, chameleon drop feeding), always opt for someone who has proven experience in that field.

If you're facing a similar situation and need expert guidance on your marketing, why not book a call with me? It takes 15 minutes for us to know if we're compatible.
